DESCRIPCIÓN
The sonorous word apalaanshi or apalaanchi—depending on who writes it—means “people of the beach.” The word has always been used by the Wayuu to designate those of their ethnic group who inhabit the eastern coastal area of the La Guajira peninsula.
This is Santiago Harker's second book about this exciting human group that he knows like few others and has documented so many times. Seduced by its rich culture, by its creative and poetic cosmogony, Harker undertook a new journey through the beaches of middle and upper Guajira, a very little explored area of the country, to give us this personal and passionate vision, this memory of his dreams and encounters, this current testimony of a way of life that transforms to survive.
