Bogotá flight to the past (2010)

$364,000.00

DESCRIPCIÓN

Organized chronologically, the 137 aerial photographs that make up this extraordinary document allow us to visualize the development of the Colombian capital in the fifty years that passes between 1935 and 1985. Here we can see the vertiginous growth, formal and informal, that occurs between provincial city, which is barely close to 300 thousand souls, and the amazing city of the end of the century, which is already close to 7 million inhabitants.

The evolution that this book records would be almost impossible to appreciate any other way. But there is also another, more individual and intimate reading of these images, warmer, that involves us all. The one that takes us to the corner of the city where we were born, to the street where we skated as children, to the pastures where we kited or to the park where we played soccer.
