More than a novel as such, Virginia Casta is a fun romantic comedy about the love adventures of a girl from Cali who is around 30 years old, when she is supposed to find the “man of her life.” And you probably find it. Only, without a doubt, it is the wrong man... As in real life, in the couples in this story there is also one who loves more than the other, or one who loves and another who does not. Imbalance – dysfunctionality, others would say – that entails blatant situations of exploitation that only eyes blindfolded by the protagonist's illusion, or the author's humor, can explain.

In Virginia's loving comings and goings, her two best friends also come into play, each one more exotic than the other, but in the end as funny as she is.

Martín, love of my delights, fire of my loins. My temptation, my soil. Honorary guest of my nap, absolute owner of my desires. I met you one night thirsty for tequila, I squeezed my eyes to focus on you, I saw you, I looked at you, we kissed.

Ingenious work that, from a feminine perspective, mixes love and humor in absurd and unexpected situations. Although without autobiographical pretensions, what is developed here has a lot to do with the author's world. Maybe that's why it sounds real and feasible to us. Maybe that's also why we can't put it down once we start reading it.
