El Gimnasio Moderno en la vida colombiana 1914-1989

This book is a true example of gymnastics love; It was neither written nor edited nor diagrammed at the initiative or by order of the College's directors. Its edition obeys, in its entirety, the desire of both the author and the editor, both prominent alumni of the Gymnasium, although generationally somewhat distant from each other, to pay tribute to their Alma Mater, on the occasion of the fulfillment of their Diamond Jubilee.

This somewhat arbitrary succession of memories of the Modern Gymnasium has as its natural readers its students of the 76 years that go from yesterday to today. We would feel lucky if it reached those of tomorrow, which we all hope will last indefinitely. But it is, first and foremost, a tribute to those who, in the present, embody the figures that our affection and gratitude evoke in these pages.
