Luis Restrepo Constructions

$219,000.00

DESCRIPCIÓN

"Luis Restrepo's architecture is calm. It captivates by its timelessness, its proportion, in which echoes of classical modernity resonate." With these words from Miquel Adriá, this new volume opens, which includes a selection of works by the Bogotá architect, carried out between 1989-2007. Free of artifice, and escaping any classification, Luis Restrepo's constructions resort only to what is essential: space, materials and light. His slow and personal work assumes reality—site, place or nature—and turns it into an element of the project.

Regardless of the climate in which he builds them, what stands out in his works is the unique division of surfaces, spaces and volumes into discrete units, which are individualized or integrated into sets, depending on the program. In this surprising presentation of an architectural work, each construction is extensively illustrated on 8 pages with color photographs and 4 with the respective plans and a comment alluding to the idea that underlies them.
