Tulato - Window to the Prehistory of America

The cultures known as "Tumaco" in Colombia and "La Tolita" in Ecuador are similar, often totally identical, manifestations, separated by the artificial geopolitical boundaries of the modern world. Their original name disappeared, about a thousand years before the discovery of America, along with the town that produced them.

The author of this study, Andrea Brezzi, has adopted the acronym TULATO to refer to them, trying to answer in a serious, well-versed and profusely illustrated work, the questions that modern historiography has raised regarding these cultures. It is a fundamental work for those interested in the history and art of the pre-Columbian world and the first that deals exclusively in depth with this magnificent and mysterious cultural manifestation.
