Colombia. Images and Realities
" Colombia: Images and Realities" , a photographic exhibition of the lives of thousands of Colombians, shows the daily lives of women, men, girls and boys who sometimes express joy and hope, at other times the harshness of the internal conflict and the meaning of the precarious exercise of their Human Rights.
More than 100 photojournalists, mostly Colombian, sent the Office that I represent testimonies of their work in recent years. They chose the photographs that, in their opinion, showed Human Rights and the internal armed conflict in Colombia. Those who come to this book will be able to encounter the diversity of the country, seen from the feelings of the people who live there.
This book is an open invitation. An invitation to work for Human Rights. An invitation for all of us to be defenders of Human Rights, in the present and in the future.”
States Michael Frühling, Director of the Office in Colombia of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, in the presentation of this book.Choose options
