DESCRIPCIÓN

This is a two-volume tribute to the work of architect Rogelio Salmona. It collects the most significant constructions of the creator in two different stages. The first book includes buildings that are part of the essential iconography of Bogotá such as the General Archive of the Nation, the Torres del Parque and Nueva Santa Fe housing complexes, the Museum of Modern Art, among others and also the Quimbaya Museum of Armenia, the FES building in Cali or the Presidential House in the Fort of San Juan de Manzanillo in Cartagena. In the prologue, Germán Téllez reminds us that Salmona is the Colombian architect of the 20th century and one of the greatest exponents worldwide. The second volume includes buildings executed until his death in 2007 such as Postgraduate Studies at the National University of Colombia, the Virgilio Barco Library, his own house in Riofrío or the García Márquez Cultural Center in the heart of Bogotá.

The architectural selection and photographs are mostly by architect Ricardo L. Castro, who accompanies them with accurate texts and plans.
