The Colombian Academy of Jurisprudence, a corporation of jurists, of a private nature, which serves as a consultant to the Colombian State and as a guide to the legal community and public opinion, in specialized legal matters, was founded on September 23, 1894, from of a Preparatory Board chaired by the magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice Luis M. Isaza.

In 2019, upon completing 125 years of practice, this book was published that presents the main milestones of the corporation and a review of the men and women who contributed to the defense of the social rule of law.
