Alicia Viteri: Digital Memory
This deluxe photo album type edition was a dream that began to materialize 5 years ago; when her partner, friend and love, Stephan Proaño, an appreciated Panamanian publicist, puts a computer in her hands to encourage her to explore the technological world, since she had to move away from the materials with which she used to work due to a cancer that overwhelmed her. The book is a selection of 54 works in which he recalls his existence by reproducing photographs on which he creates highly colorful images. Each page proposes a journey through that digital memory inhabited by his loved ones, including Maripaz Jaramillo, Antonio Roda and Umberto Geangrandi. In an intimate dialogue, the protagonist of this adventure shows the lights and shadows that have outlined her greatest work of art, her own life. This book is, therefore, an invitation to glimpse traits of his most secret humanity.
