Colombia, Land of Flowers

Colombia is the richest country in the world in terms of flowers: more than fifty thousand species are born, grow, and develop in lands that have always been considered the most fertile. This richness has influenced the attitude that Colombians have always had towards flowers. The way they use them daily, in large and small cities, to the point of making them more than necessary elements for daily activities. This is the culture of flowers. The purpose of this book is to interpret, in a literary and graphic way, the meaning that flowers, a common denominator of human civilizations, hold for Colombia, and to show the world that the colors, diversity, and quality of our flowers are the result of extraordinary natural riches and an ancient tradition of its people.
