DESCRIPCIÓN
Contrary to what one might think, the sculptural work of Colombian artist Fernando Botero is not recent. It emerged in the seventies, as a direct consequence of the resounding sense of volume that evidences its unique pictorial world and becomes palpable in the sensuality of the sculptural forms.
With an introductory study by the writer and critic Jean-Clarence Lambert, this book constitutes the largest published sample of the fruitful sculptural career of Fernando Botero, from the early works in small and medium formats, to the most recent works, with special emphasis on his masterful monumental sculptures. These sculptures have constituted the largest traveling exhibitions ever imagined and have turned the parks, squares and avenues of the main cities of the world into true living museums.
